The academic members of OUTCOME has been awarded to organize an advanced training course on “Damage and failure of solids subjected to extreme loading conditions” in the International Centre of Mechanical Sciences (for more info click here). The International Centre of Mechanical Sciences (CISM) is a renowned non-profit organization whose principal activity is the organization of courses, seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences to present the state of the art of these sciences to researchers.
This course is scheduled during the week October 1- 5, 2018. This course will last one week, is open to any researcher and usually the number of participants is limited to 40. The programme of the course is planned to include lectures by the OUTCOME members: J.A. Rodríguez-Martínez and G.Vadillo from the UC3M; S.Mercier, Cristian Dascalu and Christophe Czarnota from the UL and D.Rittel and S.Osovski from the Technion. This course is designed not just to transmit and improve the knowledge of participants but to create a fruitful environment to discuss about specific issues that may be raised during the lectures.
